Vaccinations For Spain

Well 5 minutes to fill I the Spanish locator form as an un vaccinated you then put what sort of test and what date. No question asking who tester was or proof of negative result. Automatic e mail sent to you with QR code
Birmingham Airport no one asked to see anyone's proof of vaccination status before flying.
Land at Spanish Airport what happened to this brexit its going to be horrendous. Straight through e passport control in minutes.
As for checking vaccination status everyone just holding their forms or phones in the air no dates or names checked. Mine with QR code visible girl directs me to desk scanned and through in 10 seconds. From getting off plane to picking up luggage 20 minutes tops.
This brexit thing is making travel horrendous I'm sure it used to be only 15 minutes and to make matters worse text from EE telling me any calls or texts would be part of my standard package with no additional charges
That post is just what a select few on here didn’t want to hear. They would be happy if they were made to jump through hoops and be held up at immigration in the 'third country' queue for hours just to be able to say "we told you so".

Remainers; what a bunch of Munchausens.

I do believe that tourists from the UK are being sent through the green channel at the moment because of the current hold-ups at airports, but it is not intended to become a permanent thing.

I doubt anyone will have suggested that a couple of weeks in the sun would be affected, apart from of course having to go through the 'losers lane', get a stamp in your passport, and get additional documents/incur costs for driving/health/insurance...

And of course pay considerably more for your trip due to the devalued pound since the referendum...

But maybe you could tell us what would happen if you wished to travel in Europe for a period of longer than 3 months in any 6 month period?

Or if you wanted to work or study in Europe?

I'm hoping it devalues some more - at least until Friday when we get our dosh for the villa.

I wouldn’t go. 'Europe' would therefore lose out on any extra money I would be spending. Anyway, it ain’t going to be long before they stop checking UK passports, you know how lax they get over there.

Or if you wanted to work or study in Europe?
Not a problem for those that want to and are needed - same for Europeans wanting to work over here.

What additional costs and documents? GHIC - check. Travel insurance - check. U.K. Driving licence valid in most of Europe - check. Green card - free from your insurance company - check. Mobile phone with free EU roaming - check. Have I missed anything out?

Yep just wondering what these extra costs are to. The only extra I had to pay from every previous holiday to Europe is the grand total of £13.50 for an antigen test which won't apply to vast majority.

mottie doesn't care about anyone but himself and is as usual displaying his xenophobic prejudices...

And continues to show his ignorance!

I note you haven't bothered to answer about the time limitations now in force...

Oh that's right, mottie doesn't care about anyone but himself...

Tell us again why you are selling up your 'villa'...

Too many Spanish people over there and the **** next door keeps whining that he wanted the UK to remain in the EU. Left him to it.

Did that not occur BEFORE you bought the gaff?

No. I didn't quite mean it like that. 15 odd years ago when we bought, it was almost exclusively English plus the odd Scot. 75% of the places were lived in all year. Two couples divorced and almost all the others have died through old age! It used to have a proper community feel about the place - people would be in and out of each other’s places, a few would regularly play golf, day trips out, meals out etc but it’s not the same anymore - most have been sold to Spanish who use it as holiday homes and places are often empty - a bit like what goes on in some Cornish villages over here. In winter, it’s dead and most places close. You could be anywhere in Spain. Its a bit of a bind shelling out £1.5k + every year to keep the place on and it seemed that every time we went out there, there was always maintenance to be done and I spent the first few days running round fixing things so it wasn’t really a holiday. Like most things, it’s run it’s course. We've sold to a Danish couple.

Gotcha. You are one of those 'patriotic' Brit tourists that seek out all British themed boozers/restaurants when ever you go abroad? It's a shame really because I bet you'd like a bottle of Rioja with a sprinkling of tapas. I didn't have you down as a 'Union Jack leg tattoo' man though.

Actually I can’t stand all that Brit abroad stuff neither can most of those who lived there. Yes, there were a few of them but many years ago, someone opened a 'British' shop in one of the complexes that brought out typical 'British' stuff that you couldn't easily get out there at the time - Heinz beans, Mothers pride bread, HP sauce etc etc. It lasted less than three months. Same when some yobs thought they would crack it when they opened a bar called "The dogs bollux" that actually had a bulldog showing off its bollux as their logo! Just didn’t get off the ground. Maybe those things would have worked in Benidorm but not where we were. A massive complex was built a short walk away from us that included a casino. All that brought to the area were rude and ignorant….Russians!
