hi,
I have a Vaillant condensing combi boiler with a flue that comes out of the side of the house
however I am building a car port on that side and the extract flue is just below the car ports roof line and reasonably close to the structural joists.
So often the flue is discharging the hot damp air onto the frame and I want to move the flue away.
I can't move the boiler or it's extract through the wall but next door has a periscope thing on theirs which lifts it straight up about 2 foot which would be perfect for me.
This is my flue
This is my neighbors
So what do I need in order to achieve this?
Do I need Vallient parts because the stuff I have seen is horrifically expensive.
I haven't seen any kits, do they make them or would I have to scratch build it with an elbow, pipe, clips etc.
Also, how easy is it to detach the visible part to add the extension on?
Is it worth getting a plumber in to do the job and what are the pitfalls of doing it myself
TIA
FNG
