Vokera Excell 80SP -Intermittent hot water

auto air vent just above the pump on the right
Do you mean just remove plastic cap of Auto Air Vent Bottle, or more ??

I have seen drip of water coming out of that cap (which has a hole) occasionally previously, hope that is not another problem !!

Just changing the DHW Diaphragm, just want to check something.

Took off old diaphragm, didn't notice which way round it was, as got distracted checking if it had a hole

The bowl of the diaphragm faces the plastic plate with pin, doesn't it ??

The plastic plate sits in that bowl, doesn't it ??

side with pimples faces in, plastic part fits into the smooth side.

I will also change the DHW Stuffing Nut, as I have leak/weep from this.

I assume you just replace nut (which has bit of silicone grease inside) & push DHW diaphragm pin through (??).
Nothing more.

Just wondering as I think there is mains pressure on other side inside valve, so surprised this is enough to seal, pin pushed through plastic seal in the nut.

From what I can see just those 2 parts in DHW valve to replace from vokera T0019 service kit (see pic below).

& push DHW diaphragm pin through
What are you on about. Do you see a hole in the diaphragm? Are you not going to clean the spindle and lube it?

he means the hole in the nut i think.

just remove and re-fit mate. as danny says, clean the ****e off the pin too.

Yes, I mean nut.

Just surprised that's good enough to seal moving part with mains pressure inside unit, must be tight fit.

not a particularly tight fit. you will see when you remove it.

i still get amazed by how wobbly some pushfit connections can be and still hold water.

Thanks guys.

Sorry to be picky about checking things, as you see how easy it is to read things wrong way.

I've tried repressurising boiler, but pressure on pressure gauge is not rising.
(Both CH flow & return valves under boiler are closed.)

Any ideas why ?
