Water in passenger side mat corsa 2004.

My son has noticed water on the mat passenger side of his 2004 corsa 1.0 possible drips from under the
Glove box. (Few days ago he had water pump replaced is this related )
1.kindly advise what can cause this?
2.how can he identify the leak & fix

There wont be an issue with the water pump, but there could be a problem with the heater matrix radiator inside the car.
Is the liquid coloured, together with a curious smell when the heater is on?
Has he had a pollen filter fitted recently?

Cannot answer the first two as the lad is out for the evening
But no pollen filter fitted recently .

OK, thanks for reporting back.
Kitchen roll on the floor time, just to see if those drips are the same colour as the coolant......hopefully not! Also keep an eye on the coolant level, but that would take a while to drop.
I'd also make sure that water isn't gathering in the scuttle area below the windscreen - bonnet up. Leaves in that area can cause leaks where they normally wouldn't be. The pollen filter casing is in that area too - dead centre on the scuttle I think - but if that hasn't been disturbed all should be well there.

I think there is a blanking plate(lefthand drive) under the battery that leaks on the corsa.

Update! Water found was clear drinkable! (not coolant he thinks so) car stayed dry whole day today! Me
Thinks rain related ! Will follow johns advise on the scuttle as & when the lad will allow me to do the necessary.
