Well no as a business (along with many others) we have not used ptfe for many years in fact I would struggle to find a rool in van.
For threaded joints we use loctite 55 cord or loctite 577 (with a activator if required) other companies make similar products.
All hugely better than ptfe ever will be.

Nah, horses for courses, I use both depending on what I have to hand but one's just as good as another IMO.
