Barrats don't care once they've sold the house you have no chance! :lol: Keston boilers have the most flexible flueing options but unfortunately they are extremely unreliable.

rinnai and viessmann are comparable/better than vaillant for quality and alot better than baxi. combi's are cheaper to run for hw than storage systems but water usage can be higher if on a water meter. glow worm ultrapower sxi 170 is a cheaper viessm...

If you had a flat tyre with an air leak and you called a mechanic out on a fixed price repair would you be happy if he pumped it back up in the knoweledge that the fault would reoccur sooner or later? Or would you expect a new tyre to be fitted. . . ...

gas is cheapest but ground/air source heat pumps are the cheapest to run electric heating but capital outlay is very high by comparison. a c.h.p unit may be worth looking at too or a woodburning stove with a thermal store sludge bucket .

getting a hydroflow on the cold mains and magnaclean fitted on the boiler return would be a very wise investment. I hope you have added the correct amount of inhibitor too. . . . .
