right then - its straight up over 3 courses of bricks thru the mortice of brick one and three and straight thru the brick at level 2. does that make sense? - it is approx 1 inch wide.

single storey extension. 24 foot long x 8 foot wide. sloping roof. above the door is 4 rows in height of bricks - at row 2 there is a crack right through a brick and up the joint line with me so far?.... the gap in the brick approx 1-2 cm wide - i kn...

do i need regs to widen a door frame
i wish to widen a door frame and make it an opening. from 70cm to approx 170 - 180cm, making a lounge into a open plan lounge / kitchen. do i need regs or would a qualified builder be able to self certify? thanks in advance

i have an idea : - if a hood isnt possible - what about any form of extraction i.e fan on external wall..which would be located approx 10 feet from cooking area.

1 qualified electrian will beused and issue a cert 2 drainage is only 3 feet from exisiting into sewer 3 ventilation./extraction is my main worry - as the hob would be on an internal wall, so couldnt extract externally. can i use a recirculator hood?...
