I need to get a new boiler and have been quoted £920 + VAT for supply and fitting of a Vokera Combi Compact 28. I've never had to think about, or look into this kind of thing before - is this a resonable price?! On-line searches for the product show its available for less than £600, so is the fitting a tricky/costly job?!
Getting chilly now, so don't want to hang about - but not wanting ripped off either! Help Please!!

You wont get a decent installer for that price, so yes a rip off.

its not a bad price.
best price I've seen on the boiler is 450.00 http://www.mytub.co.uk/product_information.php?product=107965?ref=BASE
about a days work to remove existing boiler and fit new and commission it barring problems or difficult access problems.

Sounds like a lovely job. Unlikely to be powerflushed, thermostat, Thermo rad valves?

Have you got somewhere to leave his horse?

I assume you already have a combi installed? If so about £750 -£1000 labour and flush etc.

If you dont have a combi then about £1000 - £1500 + VAT.
