I would like to move a radiator from one wall to another in a downstairs cloakroom, and feel confident to do the job, but I cannot find a supplier who can supply small quantities of Marley Equator 10mm pipe, that the rest of the system is fitted in.

It seems to come in minimum coils of 50m, which is a bit excessive for a job that should use between 3 and 4m.

Can anybody suggest a supplier?

My only other solution would be to use 15mm copper for the 'extension', but this feels like a bit of a bodge.

Welcome to the world of trying to repair obscure stuff...

Can you not interchange between the other 10mm brands - JG?, Polypipe?

Not familiar with the Marley stuff I'm afraid, but if its 10MM OD then you should be OK.

Wow! that was quick! thanks.

I did look at Speedfit (JG?), but even that seems to come in 25m coils.
Are you saying that Polypipe can be obtained in small quantities?

There is a very good local hardware store that stocks Polypipe, but I wasn't sure about the interchangeability.

Why are you unable to use copper pipe which comes in 10m coils?

I have a feeling that there is some problem with the Equator pipe. Perhaps it splits or something?

Can't say there has been any problems with the pipe in the house, except that some of the radiators seem to have been fitted in stupid places.

I don't suppose there is any reason why I should use 10mm copper, but th erest of the system is in 10mm plastic, with some of the rads, (upstairs ones mainly) being fitted with short 15mm copper tails going into reducers below the floorboards.

I was probably confusing it with something else then. I cannot easily find anything mentioned on the web.
