Heatline Combi Boiler-flame turns On & Off automatically

I have a Heatline Boiler Combi, it's only a year old and has a already had an Heat Exchanger replaced a month ago in the gaurantee period. The issue is that the boiler turns on and off automatically in a period of every 5-10 seconds. The flame goes off and water starts to be cold, then it's turns on again and the water is warm. It's terrible while taking shower. It's not even letting the central heating work properly, so the house doesn't get hot.

When the engineer came, he said the draining of the system wasn't done properly and this is why the Heat Exchanger is getting stuck by dust and stuff. He suggested the Draining of system a month ago and now already I have this problem.

Can someone please advice me what to do at this time of the year when it's so chilli. The advice and suggestions are much appriciated.

If its cutting on and off that quick on heating as well it would have to be very severe sludge problem.
So it sounds like a sensor problem ,but could be several other things if its within a couple of months of the year g`tee they should come back out

On your benchmark sheet, the blue very thick paper sheet, is a section that tells you what was used for flushing, and what inhibitor was put in.
Can you look up what it says there?

Did you get the main heat exchanger changed or the plate heat exchanger?

Yes the Plate Heat Exchanger is what I meant to say.

You bought a cheap boiler and had it fitted by somebody very cheaply and he did not bother to power flush the system.

Heatline came under the guarantee and even though it was not their dirt they still change the plate heat exchanger once.

Then they normally write to you and tell you the warrantee is suspended until you have had the system power flushed and send them the receipt.

Because your system is so dirty and you did not bother to have it power flushed then the new plate heat exchanger has blocked again.

There is only one solution and that is to do what the installer should have done and to power flush the system.

If he was CORGI registered you could complain to CORGI but I expect he was not even registered. Even if he is then CORGI might not do anything anyway as its not a gas safety issue.

Thanks for replying first of all. I had this Boiler installed last year in december and the guy did do the Powerflush and it was extremely dirty. he did put the enough liquid to aviod future sludges as I saw. You are right that he isn't a CORGI reg. Eng.

Now do you recommend that I get the Powerflush done again and then change the Plate Heat exchnager ?

If he was not corgi registered then why did you use him? Looks like your paying the price now though!

That was my mistake and it's too late now for that. I need to find a solution to this problem. Could you suggest or advice anything????

Of course I could but I've trained and qualified at great expense and have years of experience in the trade only for some illegal (and shoddy) gas worker to earn your hard earned instead. You pay peanuts. . . . . .

Yes I will call them and find out if they can help me at all. Otherwise do you suggest the powerfulsh and then change the Plate Heat Exchanger ?
