Please Help! - Boiler constantly firing.

I have friends in Matlock so was going to offer to come and have look but Yorkshire border is a bit too far!! sorry :?

What type of cylinder do you have in the airing cupboard. There will be a make on this also.

A very simple installation mistake that I have seen before on an Icos is that the sparky has not removed the connecting wire in the boiler mains terminal under it.

In this case the customer had a bill of £900 for the quarter

no just less likely to spend money.LOL.

Hahaha....you could always pay my 600quid gas bill given you're a generous southerner then??

surely if the building company fixed your neighbours get them round to do yours.

You probably missed it amongst the waffle in my first post but, the builders are arranging for a plumber to come round...it helps to know a little about these things though rather than feeling completely clueless - you've probably gathered from my posts, I'm not exactly miss technical on the matter! :D

Jo.

Thanks!

It's got Santon PP150B on it.

That sounds exactly like what my neighbour said - some sort of extra wire that needed removing?? They weren't very technical on the matter either but, they said it was some sort of wiring problem and all the plumber did to fix it was take it out. Sounded odd to me - an extra wire? Must be common though from what you've said.

And here's me complaining about 600!!

i was thinking that earlyer the link between L1 - L2

You mean the installer has left in the stat link on the boiler  Never seen that before  Builders with sparky that doesn't work on boilers and plummers that don't work on gas appliances, quite common on building sites I'm afraid
