Hello!
I'm looking for some advice regarding improving the performance of my shower.
It's only a simple bath/shower mixer, and works OK, but it's VERY hard to set it for a sensible temperature. Even when the hot tap is on full, the cold tap only has to be almost closed otherwise the water comes out freezing. It takes a lot of practice to get it right, guests really struggle. Once set, it's fine though.
The house is ex-local authority, with the bathroom downstairs literally under the stairs.
The hot water is from a conventional cylinder upstairs, heated from a Baxi Bermuda. The hot taps are fed from a 22mm pipe but cold water is straight from the mains, through a 15mm pipe.
Because of the awkward shape and lack of space in the room, it's impossible to install a proper separate manual/thermostatic mixer shower.
Any ideas? Would some gadget to reduce the cold water pressure help?
Cheers,
Chris.
