Hi, i will be replacing my old cast iron bath at the weekend and i will be taking the exsisting tiles of before i put the new bath in . I am putting decor panels in place of the tiles , but that will be next weekends job and in the meantime i would like to still use the shower , problem being with no tiles and seal it is not ideal , but with two teenagers in the family we still need to use the shower . could any one recomend a good way round this albeit temporary. ........ Also i have measured the hot and cold feed pipes with a micro metre and i get 21.86 mm so am i correct that i have 22mm feed pipes and not 3/4 inch , as i believe the taps are 3/4 inch so would this mean i would need a 22mm flexi pipe with a 3/4 tap connection . hanks

you got it. 22mm pipe the taps will be 3/4" bsp thread size.

can't you rig up a shower curtain for now ?

I have a shower curtain at the moment that will cover 3/4 of the shower when in use , just concerned when the kids use it as they will not be a as carefull myself and my wife .

only you can control that one.
you don't want them soaking the place to much

Tape a cheap plastic dustsheet to the wall, draped into the bath. Should prevent too much damage to walls and beyond.

I have deliberatley bought a bath that is aprox 50mm shorter than the exsisting on 1600mm . I will have a gap at one of the ends and i am not sure which one , it all depends on wethere i replace with tiles or decor panel, and the shower pipe feed. Could anyone tell me what size you can get the beading that goes around the bath to seal. Thanks

I was going to that , but the shower feed needs to come up through the bath to meet the shower. I suppose i could drill a 15mm hole in the end of the bath to accomodate .
