I sincerely hope it is, as this forum is no place for someone who wants DIY electrics outlawed, and in addition if you are so stupid that you think it would be a good idea then you're not likely to be able to cope with giving good advice anyway.
...and whoever's cooker it was probably resolved this matter (or not) back in 2006! That was before our new troll was so concerned for our safety he was compelled to sign up, and in one necro-post berate all DIYers on this forum, and by association all the experienced pros who also post on here.

Check the manufacturers instructions as most that I have had fitted specify a minimum cable size to run a double oven ( usually 4mm min ) and I will be corrected if I am wrong but manufacturers instructions supercede regs, so although some argue that a 2.5mm cable will suffice after calculations re tables and formulae given by bs7671 , if the instructions say 4.0 min then that is what it should be. However I do agree with some previous posts that the 6mm supply already there will suffice to run both oven and hob after taking diversity into acount . If you are running a new cable through though .. then 10mm will be far preferable

As I pointed out above, Shugrover was installing his hob in 2006
You can instantly tell the thread is very old, because most of the replies aren't going on about Part P, notification and questioning the OP's competence
