soil pipe reduction

I have a soil pipe that goes through the bathroom and would like to reduce down so I can fit a normal bath. how do I do this and what parts do I need to solve this problem and I have herd of a breathing cap if this can be fitted and solve my problem what is the shortest length can this be. :?

If I were a gambling man, I'd be guessing that the soil pipe is currently running floor to ceiling, and he wants to shorten this using an aav below the bath at floor level.
 
Yes, that's what I assumed too, minumum size for air admittance valve is 3" and it must be sited above the spillover level of the highest appliance (Basin)
 
Thus, op, if you want to get that bath in, you're going to have to relocate the soil pipe either along the wall somewhere or (more likely) outside!

That is interesting.

Now I wont feel as guilty for having installed standard AAV's beneath the worktops of fitted furniture for the last God knows how many years
