External lights using PIR's

Hi
I am looking to install 4 external lights in conjunction with 2 PIR's.
Can somebody tell me
1. Is it possible ?
2. If it is,is there a wiring diagram available on the site ? (I have tried to find one but with no success)

yes it's possible, but as it is notifiable under Part-P of the building regulations and will cost you to notify to the LABC, it's most likely going to be more cost effective for you to get a registered electrician to do it for you
especially as you have to ask for a wiring diagram.. it would seem that you might lack the pre-requisite knowledge of how to do it safely..

Thanks for your quick reply ,I appreciate that it may sound as if I have limited knowledge as I am asking for a wiring diagram but I am adept at most tasks (having rewired,replumbed and tackled other trades in the past).
Is it that you are not allowed to forward the information under part P ?

no it's not that we can't tell you, it's your home and you're free to do as you please to it..
Part-P is there to help keep the homeowner safe..
by going down the DIY route, you notify the LABC and they send someone out to check you've used the right cable and run it in the safe place.. then you connect it and they send someone else out to see if you wired it right and didn't damage any cables etc... all at a cost to you..

as for gas..

fitting gas in your own home is NOT illegal..
you only have to be gassafe registered if you are doing it for financial gain..
HOWEVER.. it's a dangerous thing to do your own gas unless you are competent at it and have all the needed test instruments ( same goes for electrics really ) and using a registered installer is HIGHLY recommended..
