Suppose you coould put link in between perm' live and DHW on and Htg On on programmer wall plate. This would have same effect as DHW and CH being permanently on.
Problem being you dont want to put programmer back on so you would have exposed live conductors- BAD
Suggest woolly jumper, sleeping bag and a nice horlicks to get you through tonight and pick up a new programmer in the morning and just swap the front section

Might as well bite the bullet and replace the horrid potty timer with an independent programmer like the Honeywell st 9400, and get better performance for roughly the same money.
