Possible faults are listed in the manual.

How long have you had the boiler?
Was it working correctly and now gone wrong?
Have you checked the pump is working?

As soon as i top up the boiler it works fine all day but for whatever reason on a morning it doesn't.Yesterday morning a gurgling sound came from our bedroom rad so i topped up the system and bled it and it was fine. This morning the boiler was making a high pitched screech until i topped it up.Only been installed a couple of months and was fine until the installer came to do something with it to sign it off a couple of weeks back.I spoke to him and he's not interested saying it must be a leak.

But the leak could be the result of of his work, so he needs to come back.

Obviously if the leak was there before the boiler was installed, but not obvious because it was an open vented system, the installer is not responsible. You would have to pay for any repairs.

However any half decent installer will pressure test the installation before connecting up an unvented boiler.

Thanks for that, would putting a leak sealer in the system solve the problem or does it need looking at properly?

It needs looking at, to ensure it is not an installer error.

Any idea what he did when he came back to sign it off?

not sure really, think he just serviced it.Will get him back to have a proper look, has taken the shine off getting a new boiler as our other was really old and was quite excited about it.Thanks for your time appreciate it.

I doubt if it a boiler problem.

I hope it's just a coincidence, but my son had a Broag open vented boiler installed just before Christmas and he now having problems with continually needing to bleed the radiators.

What is baffling is the fact it is fine all day and the pressure never drops, but on a morning needs topping and bleeding.
