I have a pump in my bathroom to increase the water pressure, but it is old and v. noisy and I have to change it.

Which is the best brand to get? My plumber advised Salamander, but since I am going through the expense of having a pump fitted, I thought I may as well make sure I get the best possible brand so I dont have to deal with any more issues again (esp the out of control noise) for a very long time.

Also, can anyone tell me the difference between a +ve pump and a -ve pump? Apparantly, I should only think about getting a +ve head pump.

Thanks in advance.

Stuart Tuner are mutts nuts.

-ve head used for showers with very little head pressure or where the shower is above the cwsc.

I'll second that but get one from the Monsoon range not the cheaper Showermate range; like all pumps, they will only work effectively when correctly installed on a decently piped system.
