the float valve went in our old toilet a few months back so we bent the arm abit then all was well until this weekend when it started leaking again. I've changed them like for like (portsmouth I think they are called?) and adjusted the float as far up the arm as it will go to increase the water level.
Problem is its still not high enough, its about 40mm from the overflow pipe rather then the 25mm I've seen somewhere and it doesn't flush the business away.
I've searched everywhere but can only find answers when its too high, have I done something wrong?
