There was even a Facebook page that got taken down called "Pauline Koupparis is a lying b****’."

Another group, calling itself ‘Urban Fox Defenders’, has attracted more than 500 members. One, who gave her name as Alison Smith, wrote: ‘I really can’t see how a fox could be SO brazen as to go into a house, up the stairs, past adults, and go for two children. There is something here that simply does not add up!’

And there you have the reason I think animals rights is ****** and animal rights activists are scum of the earth.

I've not seen that FB group, and I won't be a party to them, but I read the news, and what I see is this;

A fox enters an open door in a high crime area of inner London, sneaks up 3 floors, mauls two babies, then makes it's escape, undetected. It doesn't go through the bins, or enter the kitchen.

So people in London in general tend to leave their doors open? I think not. Not just unlocked, but actually open.

It is then revealed in Metro newspaper that for some bizarre reason, a policeman just happened to be in the back garden of this property at the time of this attack, and had to hand a camera to take a photograph of the fox in question, which is a picture of a cub, behind a patio door.

I wish I had my own personal policeman stationed in my garden, to work on crime, AND be a paparatzi photographer at the same time.

OR the more likely course that happened that this middle class person, living in an expensive house in London, doesn't like fox hunting, but owns dogs, the dogs maul the babies, the owner then panics, after the recent stories of people being mauled by dogs, so the dogs end up in a sack in the canal, and this story of a fox is invented to cover their tracks..hmm. They say you can't polish a turd, and this story stinks. And looks worse when more info gets out, it was a squashed turd. Total lies.

So another fox got into the property? After the initial attack? Does the property have a fox den inside? That foxes frequent? Do the property owners have a 'fox trap door', for foxes to go as they please? Do the owners of this property leave their doors open for foxes to enter of their own free will? So babies are attacked, oh I'll just leave my door open again, to let other foxes enter my property? - oh I just so happen to have still left my door open, after my children have been attacked, I called the police, and oops, another fox has been in my property? Has this property a rotary door, that allows foxes through, do they leave doors open in a high crime area, or do they lie through their teeth? When reporting the crime, there is ANOTHER fox onsite? Maybe recce the area of his friend? Get real! The person is a total numbwit lier.

It sounds rubbish to me too but a few years ago I was unloading my car when I turned around to see a fox sitting in my hallway. When I approached it, it went further into the house so I had to wait ten minutes for it to come back out.

Well said joe - None of us is country enough to know for sure how foxes may behave - I consider myself Semi Country having been raised there , but didn`t embrace the full quota of country pursuits etc. Grandfather followed the hounds . The Fox is now an urban animal - because any animal will dwell near a good source of food . Case reminds me of the Hastings killer of Billie Joe Her step Dad was pilloried because he lied about his CV - therefore he lied about child murder FFS . Justice was served eventually by his release . What was NOT reported / investigated was the " Care in the Community " house Right Near By . The Brit Trial by Internet continues on this latest. Micky, there is more than one fox in the UK. A couple of years ago I was sat in a park eating a kebab. I looked sideways and saw three foxes going through a bin.

As for what actually happened here, it's true that we don't know. It is quite plausable however that someone left the door open - especially if it was a patio door leading to a back garden (foxes aren't limited to walking along the front of houses ).

So, before you start casting your half-thought out aspersions based on a curious class-war, it may be worth doing your research and at least attempt to be accurate

On what ive read, i have no doubt it was foxes. The only thing that stops any animal attacking is fear of man, so you only need to lose that and you have a dangerous animal, and its not impossible urban foxes could manage it.

Foxes are cunning and savage, they will get into a hen coop and rip all the chickens apart just for fun. So its not at all unlikely an urban fox might try it with a human baby.

Animal rights activists don't like to see any animal castigated for anything. The badger cull that's happening in Wales at the moment is a prime example. What the farmers in that area should do is sell unpasteurised milk containing TB to all animal rights activists. That'll teach them.!!!!!


Anyways, about these urban foxes... It's not beyond any stretch of the imagination to want to open your patio doors when the weather is very warm. Foxes being the inquisitive creatures they are, could and would find their way in.
Some may say that foxes are frightened of humans. Quite right,,, the grown up variety. These twins are babies. Although foxes may be wary of 6ft adults, I don't think any fox would be wary of something less than 2 ft long.

I have lived in the sticks most of my life and Foxes by nature are opportunist.
I was called to my best mans mothers one day (she lived on a tree lined avenue in a major town) with an urgent request bring your gun.
It turned out his mum had been feeding foxes in her back garden every night and sat up to watch, she then went on holiday for 2 weeks leaving no provision for the foxes but got the next door neighbour to come in keep an eye on the place and feed her elderly cat.
The result one dead cat and a petrified neighbour after entering the kitchen (they actually ripped off the cat flap) blood etc.

I said there was nothing I could do as popping off a fox in an urban environment is strictly a no no, So the local pest control officer decided after advice from the RSPCA that tracking down their Dens and using gas was the answer.

I am used to urban foxes. I do not hate them, I look on them a part of our wildlife. The number of people attacked by foxes per year is approximately nil. However, some of them are not scared of people, either because they have repeatedly been fed, or because they have been driven demented by mange. I have often seen the results of a fox pushing over a dustbin or tearing open a bin bag, and I have seen nappies and the like scattered about the garden by foxes. I have known a dog's bowl be raided by animals walking in through an open back door.

I have had a fox walk along the pavement straight past me without fear..

Today was hot so I had my back door open.

What makes you think it is completely impossible to have a fox enter a house? Or to follow the scent of a dirty nappy? Or to be unafraid of a small, immobile animal that is not aggressive and does not try to defend itself?

I did not see the event so I can't say. What makes you think you can?

I think it is more accurate to say that foxes are genetically programmed to kill for food. In a natural environmemt, if they attack and catch one bird, all the others will run or fly away. A hen coop is a very unnatural environment so their behavour in unnatural.

I only know one animal that definitely kills other animals purely for fun. You know what it is, don't you?

The fox will kill all then hens without eating any of them. Its pure wanton vandalism !!!

all of have been known to kill not for food, not when they or there young are being threatened, and not to defend territory.

Killer whales have been known to kill whales and just eat the liver, leaving the rest of the carcass alone.
