Afternoon.

I've just started to grout the tiles around my shower using unibond anti mould power shower grout.

The instructions said 1 part water to 4 parts grout. I used a tub with a line drawn on as a measuring jug, measured the water into a bowl first, then added the grout.

I could literally only get two bowls of grout into the water before it became sooo stiff I could hardly mix it. I didn't tap the power down in the measuring jug etc.

There is no way I could have got another two jugs of powder into the mix. What am I doing wrong?

Any advice massively appreciated.

the amount is about right, but if its too thick what i suggest is that you pour an inch or 2 of water into a bucket / tub, then add your grout mixing it as you go, you want it to be a nice thick creamy consistency, not to sloppy but certainly not stiff

Thanks for your fast reply. I'll try mixing it as you said. I'm really hoping to get it down tonight so I can do the sealant tomorrow and finally have a bath the day after!
