My Son has asked me about doing some Air brushing on his model remote car.

I've seen on TV in some of the Kids programs, where they use a simple air brush where they blow into a tube to paint whatever rather than use a compressor or a compressed air canister.

Any clues where or who makes/supplies them.

thanks

You use traditional spray tins to coat the inside of the mould, but remember to mask the windows.

Just normal paint spray paint.

Thanks

The one I saw was of the Ebay and Machinemart type, but the air feed tube was not via a compressor. He was blowing through the tube from his mouth.

thanks again

If he can blow 60psi. then he should be in a Marvel comic  That`s what you need to run an airbrush  That Aiwata kit is very good value :!:

Seem to have gone off track here, mention of 60 psi to blow through a tube? I would imagine high pressure straws are available from Kia Ora drinks, but low pressure straws available from Macdonalds? Buy the straw and get a free drink. The Macdonald straws are retro bendy, but I recall proper funky bendy straws in the late '70's, might give a getter spead of paint? (with 60psi lung pressure? Whats being suggested that you blow lorry tyres up in your spare time?)

Such a honest post, replied to with daft answers!

OK

You are right with your daft answer and the time you have wasted in writing it.

It makes me wonder sometimes why such questions are asked on this site rather than one which specialises in the topic being asked.

Could a Mod close this post.

Thanks

I know this thread is 4 years old now, but I just stumbled across it during my hour long search for the same thing; a mouth powered airbrush; and I thought I'd share my answer just incase anybody else out there is looking.

What I was looking for is called a 'Mouth Atomizer', or also sometimes called a 'Spray Diffuser'. There's a video demo here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HwPSWajV-NI - and if you google those terms you'll get loads of places to buy them. We used to use them in school, and I just like the ease of use of them. You don't have to use compressed air cannisters that need replacing all the time and they're easy to clean. So yea, hope that helps.
