Hi, I'm new to modellers air brushing and trying to get to grips with suitable paints and mixing ratios.

I generally use the air brush for painting plastic model cars. I've used a couple of different manufacturers of water based acrylic paints that I've tried mixing with either water or Humbrol thinners which I've been advised can be used with water based paint.

The problems I have is either the paint is too watery and doesn't cover well at all or it's too thick where it won't come through the gun.

Can anyone advise either what I'm doing wrong or a decent quality paint I could use please? Thanks in advance.

I don't know anything about Modal paints but weighting scales are good to work out thining ratio. Guess your mixing small quantities
