LG washing machine won't drain

There is water sitting in the drum but wm doesn't seem to be able to drain it off - just comes up with the code OE (a drain prob according to manual)

Have checked the drain filter (clean) and also given the drain hoses a jiggle but no joy. Drain hose was a bit smelly and slimy.

Any other suggestions??? :?

A clean filter rules out only one part of the drain path. With OE and water still sitting in the drum, I’d check whether the pump actually runs during the drain stage and whether there is a restriction in the hose between the tub and pump or farther along the outlet hose.

If the pump runs but flow is weak, a damaged pump or partial blockage is more likely than a control issue.
