We have an external boiler which we are very happy with, but there are about 6 or so pipes, each about 2m long, that need to be boxed in. They are currently lagged, but when we box them in (which my husband can do - he's pretty handy) do we need to increase the insulation on them? If so, what shoud we use? They have already frozen (but thankfully not burst) once and we dont want it to happen again.

Do you not have a frost stat fitted as you are storing up problems for yourself!

Felt and heavy insulation will help too inside the boxing.
