Anyone here a water treatment expert ?

I know you guys are real clever but I need help with my borehole system I look after.

I am trying to increase the throughput on our Iron filter. Through much fannying around I have managed to obtain 5.3m3hr.
If I try for any more the back pressure build up blasts out the filter media on a back wash cycle.

am I missing something obvious or am I at the limits of what my iron filter can achieve ?

The system was originally designed to treat 4.5m3hr and my site demand is around 76m3 a day.

I know I probably need a new filter or a twin set up but wanted to nurse her through till april's budget
