HI all, new to this forum so please go easy

I have a new lounge and have carpeted and unfortunly it has come up short. the carpet has reached the end of the wall, but 4 cm's short of the patio door

so i need something 240 cm long which is the width of the patio door bay and 4 cm in width, i have looked everywhere for some sort of step but cant find one.

recarpeting is not an option due to cost

please help and ideas?

I take it then tthere are no off cuts at all to make up thew gap?
Would probably be easiest to put in a piece of timber as a threshold, failing that option I'd try to put in a piece of mating. The sort that is made of coconut fibres and is used to wipe your feet on.

no cut offs im afraid to say, i was thinking of having to perhaps build a step up to the patio door way which is about a 3cm drop, build something out to where the bay starts.

dont think i have any other option.

Plastic strip from Wickes or a "roofline" supplier . cheap as chips But looks OK
