Hi there
I am currently trying to install a digital timer in my boiler, this I thought would be straight forward but confused alittle and don`t want to damage the boiler.
This is the wiring diagram that came with the boiler which has 4 wire connections
here is a pic of the timer with 5 wire terminals
and finally the terminal block that the wires go into
in pic 1 the wiring diagram shows 4 wire connection but in pic2 the timer has 5 wire connecctions numbered 1-5 and pic3 shows the terminal block with 3 wire connections!! does anyone know how I should wire this timer up?
all advice appreciated

Thanks for the reply shawd
The two blacks are in the both ends of the terminal plug, should I connect both blacks to 3 and 4 so in effect connecting together at the timer?

ok I`ll sort that out tomorrow and let you know how it goes
thanks for your help

I would be a good step forward if you could tell us what boiler you have, for instance are the switch connections meant to be volt free?.

Hi
Yeah sorry the combi is: Due tec combi HE condensing boiler.
currently have a temp thermostat fitted in the hall way but had alot of trouble with it this winter staying on all night and cooking through the night so decided to just have a digital timer which will come on at timed intervals.

Have you had any problems with the Baxi? Im having one fitted next week, the duo-tec 40.Are they good for hot water supply?

The Duo Tech uses volt free switching so connect as shawd suggests

Thanks for the help and advice spraggo
The baxi has been really good the hot water gets really hot so much so I`ve turn the tempeture down to half way and its still hot enough, the only problem i`ve had is with the thermostat which the fitter got but I have been told that due to the cold weather you get an ice build up on the flue outside and this fools the boiler into thinking its turned off or something but even when the weather wasn`t freezing I`ve had problems with the thermostat timer so changing it to just a digital timer and hopefully will solve my problems, good luck
