Hi all,
After trawling through many post about the best way to paint new plaster skim on walls and ceilings i have come up with a plan of action.
I am hoping the more experienced of you will be able to confirm before i start making a mess.
Firstly, on the walls and ceilings that will be painted only i am planning on doing 2 mist coats 4:1 with dulux trade supermatt, then once dry i will be using dulux matt emulsion as the top coat.
How does this sound so far? Should the first mist coat dry completely before doing the second?
Secondly, the missus wants to wallpaper a single feature wall, so can i paint the wall in the same way and then wallpaper it, or should the wallpaper go straight over the new skim?
I would like to know whats best should we decide to remove the wallpaper in the future?
Thanks in advance
Ant
