No, I am simply directing you to a place where you can find out the rating of the shower.

WHich of those fuses supplies the shower circuit?

And 30 x 230 = _____W ?

What size is the cable?

Does the circuit have an RCD? If not then you'll almost certainly have to add one.

All i know is the shower that is there has been there for a few years working fine until now, it is a Triton TS80i, i want to remove faulty unit and fit new unit, same model and size but i can't see on it what Kw it is, so i'm not sure why I'd need to know cable size and why i would need to add RCD, if it's been working for years why wouldn't an exact replacement also work, I am quite competent at plumbing and basic wiring but need a little help with what I've asked,
Thanks

Because if the old one was too powerful it would be illegal to put the same one in again.

and why i would need to add RCD,
Because the manufacturer's instructions will almost certainly say you must have one. Ignoring those would contravene the Wiring Regulations.

"work" is not the same as "safe and legal".

I am quite competent at plumbing and basic wiring
But not so competent with Wiring and Building Regs....

Screw legal, my home my rules, It's worked for years it'll work for more years, It's prats like you who make up rules for no reason just to earn more money

It is not "legal" and money making........ it is rules and guidelines aimed for keeping people safe.

Ignore them and the thing that "works" might one day kill or seriously injure someone. What rules then ?

Is it just me who's a little uncomfortable with the idea of being wet and naked under an electric shower with no RCD protection?
