Which Paint for Exterior Windows

Undercoated with onol as it was then called and top coat with xd, some windows with a lot of filling/bare spots or were grinning i gave two undercoats or two top coats especially on the cills.

Undercoat is very important as the most crucial thing about a coat of paint is whats underneath it.

One thing about this stuff though do not overcoat it for at least 24 hours.

I used some weathershield on a garage door and front door last summer and the finish seemed ok, took a long time to dry and the dark grey undercoat didnt cover as well as i would have expected it to, sikkens is better but you pay more for it.

Could not agree more, the entire Sikkens range is indeed superb, yet the problem that Russel has is he wants a one coat system with a preference to oil.

The situation that he faces here is the ideal situation for Solo and providing that the prep is correct he wont regret it's use, Solo produces a sheen level of which I believe has yet to be matched and on an exterior app with the help of uv will maintain that shine for many years the only fly in the buttermilk is it has to be gloss as opposed to Satin.
