discriminating against travellers

what's their stance on UK's legal system? do they recognise it?

Scum of the earth IMO.

The bloke is clearly talking rubbish - there's no way people will start putting up signs saying 'no blacks, no dogs'.

Still, according to the BMA, it's not all bad news

"Joining together will make us go further – if we have more people on board it will make it easier for us to stand up for our rights" said Mr Sheridan.

John Johnson, chair of the Southern England Romany Gypsy and Irish Traveller Network, added: "We want to be seen as a cohesive community."

All we hear from these people is rights...never responsibilities...Like not leaving filth and corruption everywhere they go,leaving ratepayers to clean up their mess.

If they like to travel so much, FO to their own countries and do it.

Who are they to dictate to us about rights when they have no respect of ours?

And faeces, other rubbish and vandalism after they finally move on. That si if they have not made permacamp and taken over some land...........Some travellers!

Providing that these peoples live according to the laws of the land like everyone else then there should be no problem. The trouble is that there is a stereotypical view than suggests that they are proportionally more likely to be involved in crime and that they don't tend to pay their way within the local areas in which they (often illegally) reside.

If this viewpoint is "racist" and based on erroneous and inaccurate evidence then fair enough, they have a valid point. So, in the interest of all parties concerned, maybe it would be a useful argument for local authorities to publish hard facts and figures in order that like for like comparisons may be drawn.

But we are not saying being a traveller is wrong.
We ARE saying not moving on, causing damage and destruction is.
