Hello i have a Hotpoint WM64 aquarius1200

From doing a wash the machine powered down mid cycle and will not power back up no red light on front.

I have removed the lid checked to see if theirs a live feed coming in live in fine.

I looked at someone else thread here and i think i have a problem much like it or alike.

Removed the switch for the door has 3 wires Com been Brown, neutral Black,Live Red

Have checked and seems to be braking fine when using the on off switch and checking for life and brakes the circuit when turned on and off using the switch but using the the door switch when pushing in to connect it makes no difference

For the live and com do i connect these 2 together to test. What do i do with the neutral do i leave this plugged in for the door switch or remove

Netural suppy has gone down , check the first block on the pcb. Track will be blown.

How do i check this or remove the pcb i am assuming the pcb is the power circuit board that holds all the wires and everything else on.

Also is this an easy fix or does this require a new pcb.

Am no tech at this stuff novice but i know bits here n there to work around it

Remove consol panel then the two screws that hold the timer in place.

ok i have the pcb total removed from the washer what am i looking for on the pcb.

Would i be looking for something that's blown or burnt. If so i do not see anything that's burnt out or discolored

The very first block of wires. Should be black , remove the block of wires and underneath should be a copper track on the edge that will poss be broken / burnt.

Gone down all the tracks on the pcb nothing burnt on it also tested each one with meter to test and seems to be all connecting to each other fine.

Are you referring to the wire or the circuit board as looked at both don't have anything wrong

I have tho found the main switch on off seems to be partly melted together but seems to be turning on and off ok. But i have ordered replacement for that so we know its not that and to be safe too. It might be this i dont know.

Or it could be the door switch

any ideas how i can test to fire up system to see if powers up

The on off switch should have live and netrual on the sides , do they have continuity. If its melted then that's your problem. Only things that cause it to be dead is pcb or on off switch. The door lock blow these on the pcb

Yes there's continuity and when pressing switch in and pushing back out it works as a switch is meant to

For pcb you where you explained i have looked and also snapped shot image everything seems clean on it

Is that what you where referring to.

Hope i can get this working again or its a new washer ore repair and already got quote of £100 +

That looks ok. You can link door switch out by linking comm and live together. If that fires up door switch is at fault.

Thx for all the help and advise given so far. I will wait til li get replacement switch for on/off then try that and go from there.

1 question lol where do all the connections go back man i feel dumb i did have everything lade out but dam cats jumped up knocked everything over n wires all over place now

The timer is in situ. First is a black block , then blue green then black or red to motor. That's the top of pcb. Bottom are. Grey violet green.
