l have a hotpoint first edition model wm52 and suspect the door switch is faulty..
When l shut the door for a wash cycle nothing happens and no power is displayed.
If l slam the door then the odd time it might work and this has gone on for weeks now, so l took the door switch off to replace , but before doing that and spending money on a switch that might not be the problem is there anyway l can test the switch with my multi meter..
It has a live/ neutral / and common for connections.
Also is it possible to bypass the 3 wires l have took off the switch to see if the washing machine work.. Would that be live and common connected bypassing neutral to see if the machine starts ..
