Several years ago saw a panther dead at the side of the A1 near worksop,

there was an area with a load shreddings off of hgv tyres and I clearly saw the pads of the two large back feet and the long parallel tail of a large black animal.............in the midst of the shreddings
So I rang the police.

Went to the job and a few hours later I was heading back north saw a police car parked at the area and went back and spoke to the officer and told him I was the one that phoned in. A guy was there and told the police man he'd buried it it as it was his greyhound to which the police man said he'd buried it fast. I know what I saw No dog has feet as big as my hand a thick long parallel tail ! often wish I'd have said to the copper lets dig it up then !

Anyway related this tale to one of my wifes mate's husband's, to which he told me his brother and two other chaps were in a van driving down a country road in lincolnshire and a large cat jumped off an embankment landed in the middle of the road and bounded up the opposite embankment !

So are large cats on the prowl ?

We've had sightings of them up here near us in the Highlands, haven't seen any but our collie is only 15kg and she likes to tear about in the forest- hope there aren't any if she bumped into one don't fancy her chances....

I have seen a big cat in the High Peak area of Derbyshire, I observed this creature slinking along on the side of a hill, it most have been at least eight foot long, from head to tail, black in colour, possibly a panther.
It disappeared into some undergrowth, if only I had have had a camera with me.

Out with my dogs at dawn years ago in the Manifold Valley (The Peak) and saw large paw prints in the mud at the riverside. They were slowly filling with water which meant whatever left them had just gone.

The dogs bristled and growled and stared into the woods, they didn't relax until we got back to the car.
I got the hell out of there and my alsatians behaviour told me it was the wise thing to do.

I didn't see a thing,but I 'm damned sure something was watching me.

I was out driving in this wide open space once and I saw a group of them

Place was called Longleat apparently there have been lots of sightings in this area

The chances of a serious discussion, is rarer on here, than actual sightings.

Do you call it conjecture? that several people have sighted big cats roaming around the countryside.

Well, someone should CATalogue the sightings. ;)
They could be hiding in the CATacombs. ;)

There again, it's hardly CATaclysmic, is it? ;)

I'll get me coat.

Your Duck is Dead--

A woman brought a very limp duck into a veterinary surgeon. As she laid her pet on the table, the vet pulled out his stethoscope and listened to the bird's chest.

After a moment or two, the vet shook his head and sadly said, "I'm sorry, your duck, Cuddles, has passed away."

The distressed woman wailed, "Are you sure?"

"Yes, I am sure. Your duck is dead," replied the vet..

"How can you be so sure?" she protested. "I mean you haven't done any testing on him or anything. He might just be in a coma or something."

The vet rolled his eyes, turned around and left the room. He returned a few minutes later with a black Labrador Retriever. As the duck's owner looked on in amazement, the dog stood on his hind legs, put his front paws on the examination table and sniffed the duck from top to bottom. He then looked up at the vet with sad eyes and shook his head.

The vet patted the dog on the head and took it out of the room. A few minutes later he returned with a cat. The cat jumped on the table and also delicately sniffed the bird from head to foot. The cat sat back on its haunches, shook its head, meowed softly and strolled out of the room.

The vet looked at the woman and said, "I'm sorry, but as I said, this is most definitely, 100% certifiably, a dead duck."

The vet turned to his computer terminal, hit a few keys and produced a bill, which he handed to the woman..

The duck's owner, still in shock, took the bill. "$150!" she cried, "$150 just to tell me my duck is dead!"

The vet shrugged, "I'm sorry. If you had just taken my word for it, the bill would have been $20, but with the Lab Report and the Cat Scan, it's now $150."
