Seems that it's not only me that doesn't understand the difference between climate and the weather thenthe climate in Hampshire is warmer than the climate in Perth. Generally speaking, averaged over years, it is warmer in Hampshire than it is in Perth. Over time, there are more cold and frosty days in Perth than in Hampshire.
However sometimes the weather in Perth is warm, and sometimes the weather in Hampshire is cold. There will be some days when the weather in Perth is warmer than the weather in Hampshire. That does not make the statement about climate untrue.
Perhaps you could explain which "average" you are referring to, and indeed how these apparently don't change on a day-to-day basis to form the summative "climate"
