Hi.

video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XT8SvC-q50M

The filling loop was left connected when I bought the house.
The instructions say to remove it after filling.
If I remove it, then water (hot) leaks out of the boiler.
The caps don't have any o-rings in them or anything, and so it leaks through that as well.

Any idea what's going on? Should the cap have an O-ring, or should water not be coming out of there? It seems to be under pressure.

Additional info:
The diverter valve seems to be broken - radiators get hot when they shouldn't.
The system loses pressure over night or during the daytime if it isn't running for roughly 15 minutes of every hour.

thanks a lot!
Carl

By the way, is this the Pressure Relief Valve that I heard about? The bicycle pump connection? (circled in red)? :

I guess that thing to the right of the circled bit, with the arrow pointing up on it, is a 1-way valve, which is failing. Right?

Although it contravenes water regs, just leave the braid hose connected, unless you want to replace the non return valve assy which is causing your leak. The valve you have circled is not the PRV but the ch isolating valve.
The PRV is behind the panels. The cap you use should have a washer to form a water tight seal.

Thank you. I have already ordered a new non return valve now so I might as well swap it. £22 though!
I ordered a new PRV as well since I heard they basically fail as soon as they're utilised.
I also ordered the T0063 service kit which I hope will fix the diverter problem.

Good luck with all that, and don't forget to check the expansion vessel is charged correclty while it is all drained down.

Thanks. I have just obtained the servicing instructions and will get myself a bit more clued up before delving into the diverter valve.

Can you give me some tips for replacing the non return valve?
The panel through which the pipes go, seems to be in the way. I can't just rotate the non return valve. At first glance it doesn't appear straightforward..

As far as I remember the whole valve assy has to be removed from the panel, which by the look of you system will mean a partial drain down.

From what has been said I dont see any pressing need to replace the NRV.

The water inlet valve is firmly turned off when the three position valve on the right is in the normal position.

I agree Tony, most Linea's have their loop left in place.
