I would like peoples honest opinion on how they would deal with this person if it was their child..

http://www.wakefieldexpress.co.uk/n...dangerous-to-children-1-4307325[/QUOTE]What's your stand/opinion on how such evil cowards should be dealt with?

I can honestly say I don't know. If someone was to hurt any of my children I would hope I found the strengthen not to attack the person because I fear I wouldn't stop. At odds with my beliefs but when emotions are involved anything can happen, everyone has a point were they break even you.

You see life is not that simple and we are all capable of violence if faced with certain situations.... Human nature..?

So why have a go at Alarm when he posted:

Yep, same as kidnappers.
Interesting dilemma..? You agree that lawless punishment should be dealt out in some circumstances but only if it fits your agenda..

I do believe this is called hypocrisy, no?

I don't understand what you are getting at, please explain.

I tried that route - went through proper channels, justice system etc - waste of fckin time.
Summary justice inflicting serious pain next time (and when/if i meet the scroat involved!!

You've stated that you 'don't know' what your stance and/or opinion is. That if someone hurt one of your children that you 'hope' you wouldn't attack that person for fear you 'wouldn't stop'. That 'we are all capable of violence if faced with certain situations'. Alarm simple agreed with sooey's post:
A very good kicking followed by a long spell of incarceration, but most importantly a mark branded into the forehead to warn other people in the future.
So what's the difference? Alarm and sooey would give 'it' a good kicking, lock it up and brand it. At least they know where their boundaries are you've stated you don't know how you would react but admit if you did attack you'd probably not stop.

Yes both did offer their opinion that in some circumstances people condone the use of violence, a criminal act they so often denounce others for.....

I would probably beat the man within an inch of his life if it were my child but I would hope I had the control to stop, I'm sure if others were to tell the truth they would feel the same.

So we can safely say that them that are the more vocal about condemning others for acts of violence they themselves condone it when it fits their agenda. Same can be said when it comes to committing criminal offences.

Does that explain my replies better?

Garbage like that should be taken out to the steps of the court and (INhumanely) executed! No right of appeal. Trash like that lost all protection from the Human Rights Act when they violated the rights of someone who could not protect themseleves. I would be happy to accept the post of Lord High Executioner.

Err. no.
Just more of your usual weasel words.

There's a difference between evil abuse of a child and the administering of punishment for a wicked act. They are not the same thing nor can they be claimed to be the same thing just because the feature of physical harm is present in both cases.

My child ? he'd have hung himself in the woods. I'd have made sure.

Well, I would have given him more than 5 years (probably 2.5 with good behaviour under our system).

Our justice system is starting to become un-fit for purpose. They want to rehabilitate people and are making that more of a priority. But the reality is that punishment isn't just for the criminal, but also for the victims, if people don't feel justice being done, they will do it themselves.

Personally, as it stands, I wouldn't even bother reporting such an event to the police, i'd "do something" myself.

So it's ok to hold two conflicting views at the same time as long as you put one of them down to 'emotions'?

Who said anything about it's ok to hold two conflicting views? Fact of the matter is we are all human and regardless of our views on life emotions can and do make people do things that go against the grain, doesn't mean to say that view is compromised.
