indesit dishwasher not working

Hi, can anyone help.
My indesit dishwasher has just stopped working ie the water is not heating up and this water is just sat at the bottom and not being pumped away.Then it turns itself off.
Would the first rinse be cold water anyway and its just the waste pump not working or is it something more than this.

First wash is cold. Does it spray water round.

thanks for reply, but i've decided to call in a repairer through indesit seemed a bit complicated for me to sort out myself
