Trying to sort out a lodgers hot water, i've had a sparky last Friday who diagnosed the control panel, WRONG, got a gas man in this morning and found a leak on the hot water tank, he went off and i fixed the leak still no hot water, found another leak by way of get an electric shock

As i was saying "KISS" keep it simple stupid!!

So not happy with a simple combi boiler they got to fit a hot water tank to it, Ideal ecos he12, every year i get problems with the system, i think they are useless! the properties in question are only 6yrs old. About the same time i refurbished a house and let it to my son, the combi i fitted i got from B&Q, a Biassi for £550 and touch wood it has been trouble free to date. However dont mention this to a gas safe man because he will assure you they are rubbish as are those rust bucket Fiats, just dont tell him they have been galvanised since the Tipo, also i heard today that my Italian Stallion (Aprilia Mille) are unreliable :?:  apart from changeing the rear tyre every 2000 miles and the front every 5000 miles the only thing that broke in 10yrs was the oil tank.

Calling Mod 11, Calling Mod 11 we have a problem on GD forum I repeat a problem on GD forum. Where are you when your wanted?

I'm on my 4th Fiat. The last 2 I had from new. I owned both for around 10 years each. The first I had for 6 years. It was less than a year old when I bought it. None of them were any major trouble, all sailing through the MOT tests with - usually - flying colours.
The 4th is a Bravo 150 T-Jet. I've had it for 3 years and I love it.

I shall remain brand-loyal while they keep producing such reliable motors.

Even a Fiat is better than a ISAR/ICOS ( I've just weighed another 6 year old Icos in at the Scrapyard today!)

Or in the op's case, a shit boiler, and a not so shit boiler.

Ideals cannot be compared to any other boiler. They are are in a league of their own. Put it this way, the Labour government were more reliable... and that is saying something. DM46 will explain if he still visits here.

As a plumber, I've never recommended a Fiat. :? Perhaps the OP would like a Ferolli? They have a model that may interest him/her.
