longdogs

All characters must:

Live and work in Albert square (Bridge Street at a push)
Have at least one meal per day in the cafe (despite living only two doors away)
Constantly move house (within the square)
Have parties in the E20 club during the day
Constantly walk round and round the square with no obvious destination
Change personality to suit the story line
Work behind the bar at some point
Stare at each other across the square
Sit on the swing or Arthur's bench when they have a problem
Kill someone at least once a year
Make a lame excuse for disappearing for a few months because the BBC can't afford to pay them

:D

..and shout at the tops of their voices to each other at all times even though they are less than a foot apart.

They also have to utter those immortal Eastend words.. "Sorted." and "Cor blimey Guv."......
Still,,, better than being a character in Dallas and finding out your life was all part of someone's dream while they had a shower.

I usually manage to get Neckend -- oops, sorry I mean That Soap switched off before the first fight breaks out. Most times I get to the switch before the sixth note sounds but I have been caught on the hop before.

When this happens, I'm always reminded of an old advert for a certain brand of cleaner which, according to its makers, "eliminates soap scum". Could C****t B**g really clean up Albert Square?

yes awful programme Eastenders...
but joinerjohn I feel I have a guilty secret I did watch Dallas
That was round about 1980 ...its hard to believe it really was that long ago.

You lot are missing the point. This program is actually a fly-on-the-wall documentary.
