No, it will not boot except on the correct hardware.

The enclosure will make it easy to connect to another, working PC to access the files.

Not their fault, really. This is just a limitation of Windows XP. Vista/7 does better.

It doesn't matter what brand it is, what matters is the hardware inside it. If you've got a very similar machine, it might.
