Kitchens and electrics and rules.

Please forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong place.

We are looking at changing the kitchen units, and this time having an integrated oven and hob.

The sales person said that we would need a cooker point added, and that there is a minimum distance requirement between them and the fridge.

Can you please tell me where I can find all these rules applying to work carried out in kitchens?

Any help appreciated.

distance between cooker and fridge will be in the cooker manufacturer's instructions.

What sort of cooker do you currently have, and how/where is it connected?

Do you have a cooker circuit?
