I've just fitted a replacement heater can assembly and the shower is now leaking from the outlet of the can, but only when the shower head is on. When the head is removed there is no leaking. Might this something to do with the PRD?
Your going to need a new prd if you have lost the ball in the prd.
more likely never re-commissioned it properly after fitting the new can.
Possibly if water is leaking through the pressure relief device it
could be a couple of things causing it but it could well be the shower head is partially blocked or not suitable for the type of shower

Is it coming from the join to the stabiliser valve on the side ? or the outlet seal ?

It's coming from the outlet seal....should there be a rubber seal in place on this joint?
