HI, I have just brasso'd some old brass door handles to bring them up nice & clean without blemishes, however they now need re lacquering.

Can you recommend a good lacquer that does not wear off easily?

Also what can I use to strip the old stuff off, I have a few more to do yet.

Thank you.

Try using polyurethane lacquer. It last longer and can be found in spray-can format.

To clean a door handle up with Brasso, you must of took the lacquer off to do that no?.
I suppose the brasso will also shine lacquer.

Cheers but I was hoping for a brand, trying to find it is not easy.
However, I understand a US brand is no good on a UK website :)

Get Halfords clear lacquer.
Why Halfords one Joe?
Do you have experience of this being long lasting?
