Vokera Linea 24 diverter valve

Can anybody tell me how to dismantle the diverter valve? I removed the front cover / plate, but I can't see how you are supposed to get into where the bobbin, spring etc. are.

It's the "brass plate - part number 2912", that I'm unsure how to remove. Should I just attack it with some mole grips?

That's what i do. Just grab it, wiggle it about and pull it.

Ah. Great. I'll try that then. I just couldn't imagine it would just be a push fit - with there being a spring and stuff in there.

dont use grips and whatever you do dont bend the push rod in any way , put a screwdriver on the face plate and gently prize it off making sure you have a towel and a bowl under cos you will get some water out and it will suddenly pop with the pressure of the spring behind it

I was assuming he had the service kit with a full set of new bits in it.
The only bit you don't get is the spring.

Grab it and pull it.

I have the diverter service kit, and I think mine does have a spring, but it doesn't have a replacement for the brass plate that I need to remove..

I'm not sure where one of the pictured brass pieces goes. I know the hex one goes inside the diverter cover, and is almost impossible to replace, so I have a new cover on order.

you are correct you dont get the facia plate and although quite hard to get out wait till you try and put it back in ha ha fun and games start then and as mentioned you dont get a replacement push rod so dont bend it

You only use the one on the left hand side of your pic when servicing the diverter valve but if you have ordered the complete front plate you might not need either, cant remember if the new front plate comes with the front end seal in or not to be honest

Thanks. I have ordered a full new cover, since my 14mm socket wouldn't fit inside the diverter cover to remove the brass piece in question, and I read that they are usually stuck in place anyway. So I have ordered p/n 10020335 which I believe is the cover with that brass piece already attached.

What is the right-hand brass piece for then? Is that for a different model boiler?

yes that kit does more than just the Linea

The reason for the other bits in your service kit is that some Lineas have a flow valve which requires the diaphragm and brass seal. I take it your has a water pressure switch instead.

Also, the diverter cover doesn't come with the brass seal fitted

Ah, so it is. t0063 is what I have. Hmmm. I wonder if I should buy that kit too.

I'll see how I go without it, trying to reuse the existing brass plate.
