My father has recently bought a chinese made spy camera watch and is having terrible trouble trying to reset the correct time, date etc.

The instructions are translated in the most illiterate way but here is a sample of what they say.

Set the time as follows:
Connected the watch to computer by USB cable well. ,in my computer have a ''removable disk'' drive. open the notebook of windows (*. txt format) Input: 2012.01.24 13:30:30 Y
Take the file name: time.txt
Save the file in the root directory of the removable hard drive, then the USB cable connection cut off, then reboot watch and start recording, video and photographs of the time in bottom right corner is the new time and date

If anybody could shed some light on this it would be very helpful ( I have gone as far as the my computer bit but that's it)

Please ask if any more info is needed.

Thanks

Seems to me that once you connect the "watch" to your computer via USB, it will show up in My Computer as a removable disk drive (quite normal).
Anyway, you have to open notepad (on your computer programs) and type in the time/date, in the format
YYYY.MM.DD.HH:MM:SS then save this as time.txt. You then copy this (or move it) to the root directory of the removable drive. (that's whatever part of the "watch" first opens when connected to your computer. If you look at it on your computer screen, there may be other folders and files. The root is always opened first (when you access the "watch" via USB.)

Hi There I tried what you mentioned above but still the recording time shows 2007. I am not sure why. I bought a spy clock camera, I put an sd card and it does recording but when I plug it in my lap to after doing what you instructed the result is still the same. Maybe I saved the txt on a wrong file. The file that I can see when I opened my sd card are: DCIM , I opened DCIM and save my txt there.

Please advise
