Hi, I've had a stable block rebuilt and the builder hasn't put any air bricks in, today we have gone to use them and the condensation on the sloping roof is terrible, can I get him to put one/some in now? (the old stables had one big one high up in each stable )

You could always ask?

Are you inferring that you should be in a position to insist he installs them FOC because there are some in another building?

Who designed the building? Were air bricks mentioned prior to the build, i.e. at pricing stage?

Are the stables for horses/livestock or are they for storage?

My guess is that air bricks may not make a great deal of difference.

I can't see what difference airbricks will make to condensation in a stable block.

More so, what problems will be caused by condensation in a stable block

Thanks for replies, it's purely that the condensation drips on the horses, which are wearing rugs and stables are supposed to keep them dry!!
Yes air bricks were mentioned during plans.

Do you not keep the top (stable) door open?

Surely the stable is not air tight i.e. bars instead of windows?

If this is the case then air bricks may be (as suspected) useless.

If you have got an uninsulated roof then you will get condensation on the underside whether there are airbricks, or if the doors are left open instead.

You probably need a different solution if it is an issue with the horses
