Hello,

I have an electric boiler and I experience an odd problem.
Sometimes during the day, I have no hot water.
I leave the water running for minutes but there is definitely no hot water coming through.
Usually, if I try it about an hour later everything is ok.
I haven't figured out the times when this happens and I think it's random.

Have you even heard of this sort of problem?

Should I just call in an electrician?

Many thanks - Mari

Are you sure you are not just running out of hot water?

And have to wait an hour for it to reheat?

Hi Tony, thank you.
My boiler runs on night electricity and only heats up once.
This means there's enough water for a bath, but should I wish to have more hot water, then I have to switch on the day electricity.
So, I'm 100% that it's not a case of running out of hot water.

I actually suspect it could have something to do with the water pressure (i'm on the 4th floor of anew build). Could this be the case?

You really should be more clear!

Do you mean you have no water at all???

Or you have cold when you expect hot?

If the water supplies have been wrongly fitted or undersized it could well be that lower flats are using up all the water.

In that case you would have no hot or cold water getting to your flat.
